Coffee-dyed Jacquard Corset


The outer corset is made of glossy jacquard fabric.
Each finished item is hand-dyed individually to create a unique, uneven (mottled) effect, giving the fabric surface a distinct character in every piece.
The advantage of hand-dyeing, as opposed to factory production, is that the mottling and wrinkles can each express a different character.
Dyeing and wrinkle processing are done after each piece is fully sewn, requiring time and meticulous care.
To create variations in the dye, the coffee placement is adjusted and left to sit for a period of time.
Wrinkles are formed by hand and steam before the fabric is fully dried.
Before dyeing, the fabric is carefully treated with protein to help the color absorb, and for this COFFEE series, milk is used to ensure that the ingredients are food-safe.
Color fixation is completed using a salt-based setting process.
After dyeing, coffee bean powder remains on the fabric, but it is mostly removed through washing, so the coffee aroma usually disappears by the time the item is delivered.
The inner fabric is made of soft mesh, allowing the corset to be worn directly on the skin.
It can also be adjusted with a long skirt to be styled as a dress.
The back closure is designed with a lace-up ribbon.

All parts are hand-dyed with coffee to create a mottled effect.
Although color-fixing treatment is applied, fading may occur over time.


HOW TO ENJOY
If you want to enjoy natural fading, wash the item multiple times to experience its aging texture.
If you prefer to maintain the original color, limit washing.
Sumi-dyed items may leave a slight residue on the skin; please understand this before purchase.
